How to Efficiently Organize your Bullet Journal Materials

If you are anything like me, you have bullet journal materials everywhere. Journal, pens, markers, washi tape, sticker and so much more scattered everywhere. Bins and buckets shoved with materials. Boxes full of supplies slewed over your desk, shelves, and the floor. This was me when I first started. Let me help you organize your bullet journal materials.

Organization for your Desk or Office

The first thing we will look at are organization tips for your desk. The one thing that is normally on your desk are pens, pencil, and markers. Now there are several different ways to organize your writing utensils. My children bought me a pen organizer for my desk and I love it! I’m looking to get another one to add more to it. Now it might look cheap, but it has worked out great for me and I have had mine for two years now.

Another way to organizer your pens is with an acrylic pen organizer, which are more sturdy, but for me doesn’t hold enough. It might be cool to decorate them and have them lined up with each one holding a different utensil, such as pens in one, pencils in another and markers in another. You can also use a regular desk pen organizer. You can also do your own DIY and make some utensil holders out of jars or cans if you don’t want to spend a lot.

This next one is something I don’t have, but have seen it in other’s offices and plan on putting it in mine as soon as I can find a place. A office peg board for all your office items. This looks like an awesome way to organize your bullet journal materials.

If you don’t have space on your desk or on your wall. You can always get drawer organizers if you have a drawer you can use or you can use a rolling floor caddy. Something you can roll out of the way if you need too. These can be so helpful in organizing your utensils and keeping everything in one area so you aren’t searching several different places to find what you need.

Organizing on the Go

To be honest, I have had some difficult time organizing my materials when I need to go somewhere and take them with me. I just bought this awesome pencil pouch that will hold all my pens, makers, glue stick, scissors, washi tape and so much more. I absolutely love it! May daughter ended up stealing it from me for her art supplies that I had to order another one. The best thing is, that they come in different colors, my daughter’s is blue and mine is black.

If you need something a little bigger so hold your bullet journal as well. You can try a small art tote. I use one of these when I go on small trips. Like when I go visit my sister. I’ll bring my small art tote with everything I need to keep my bullet journal updated.

If you are one of those hardcore bullet journalists. There are larger rolling art totes that you can use to carry everything you need to complete your Bullet journaling needs. Paper, journals, utensils, stickers, washi tape. You name it, it will fit in this beautiful rolling tote bag.
