Creative Atmospheres

We've been talking about organization this last month, and now we are all about keeping our focus on what we set out to do this year. Many have dropped off already, while some are trying to keep up with the momentum they have. Others are forging ahead with their goals.

Hygge has become a huge way of life recently. And when you look at it, how could it not. When we think of Hygge (pronounced hyoo·guh), we think of coziness, comfort and peace. According to the Oxford Dictionary Hygge means a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being. So how can you adapt this in your home or work. I'm going to tell you how you can use Hygge to organize your home of office.

Some feel that working in a "messy organized" space is how they get things done. Saying they know where everything is, well, it just irritates my clean freak tendencies. Having a clean and well-organized area is the best way to get things done and know where everything is at any given time. At least for me.

Snow is falling, and the holidays are near. Those that weren't into the season are not in full swing getting things ready for the season. Celebrating the holiday through decorating can create a different perspective and add cheer to your space.

There are always ways to create the space you need anywhere you are and that includes in and around school settings. It may not be easy and you might not be able to do much, but it is possible.

Some may find that having a camping or forest theme within their home a little... strange, but if that's what you like and it makes you happy, why not? My husband loves being outdoors, but during the winter time it gets a bit stifling. So this is what we did to cheer him up!

When we moved to Highland, Indiana we were a little concerned about where we were moving to as all parents do. Are the schools good enough? Is the community safe? What will my children be able to do here? Will they make friends easily? We had a rough start, but since we moved four years ago, we have found Highland to be a very quaint town. Bigger than we thought, but the downtown Highland district has that old hometown feel. Let me tell you about the alluring and charming places to see in my hometown.

We’ve begun to put away our winter gear, not quite ready for shorts (unless you’re my kids) and t-shirts, but ready to enjoy without hats and mittens, watching the renewal of the earth.
