Welcome to Bullet Journaling: Part 3 – Custom Trackers and Collections, where we will be discussing the different types of collections and trackers you can use in your bullet journals. Our lives are chaotic and creating collections and trackers in your bullet journal is a way for you to keep track of everything in your busy life all in one place. Therefore, Your spending habits, your productivity trackers, or your vacation plans could all be a spread you could use. Above all, everything you do to keep track of and maintain is in one centralized location for easy reference at any time.

In Bullet Journaling: Part 1 we talked about all the materials you could use for your bullet journal and some basics of bullet journaling. For Instance, we discussed materials, journals, and items you will need to create your layouts and collections.

In Bullet Journaling: Part 2 we first discussed the different logs you can use to keep track of important dates and holidays. Secondly, we discussed the Key and Index of your bullet journal as well.

Trackers vs Collections

In the following paragraphs, I will be discussing the difference between a tracker and a collection in your bullet journals. Trackers are a type of collection in a bullet journal spread that you create to keep track of something on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. These could include your water intake, bill payment, or scripture reading.

Bullet Journal Collections are spreads that aren’t time-sensitive. Therefore, some of the spreads you could use would be Movie to Watch, Books to Read or Doodles. These are just a spread in your journal that you want to keep for future reference.

The best part about collections if that you get to pick which ones suit your needs and you get to modify the layouts however you please. You can make them simple or you can get creative and use things around you to decorate and design your collections.
